Tri-Lux

Commissioned for the interior courtyard in the Westmoreland Building
by Botwin Family Partners, LP, Kansas City, MO, completed 2005.

Tri-Lux was designed as an ambient light source for this urban courtyard. The lights fluctuate at random, controlled by three separate AM radio signals. The “kit of parts” that the work is built with was conceived as a structural drawing tool, allowing the work to situate itself within the pragmatic elements that help define the site. The courtyard was designed by el dorado inc.
