Commissioned for the 1737 Main Development Project by Botwin Family Partners, LP, Kansas City, MO. Completed 2005. Collaboration of James Woodfill and el dorado architects, inc.

In collaboration with el dorado architects inc., the renovation of this modest storefront building in downtown Kansas City became an opportunity to co-mingle sculptural and architectural strategies within the composition of the facade.

These images show the exterior, with the lighting elements wrapping around the side to provide lighting for the surface parking adjacent to the building. At the corner, a rotating beacon takes turns addressing the front and the side, defining the building as it fits into its environment.
